בשנת 2008 צורי מכלוף החליט להגשים חלום ולהקים יקב משפחתי קטן. הוא גייס את משפחתו המצומצמת ויחד נטעו, בחצר ביתם שביישוב כליל בגליל המערבי, כרם ענבים קטן שגודלו דונם אחד בלבד.
בשנת 2009 החלום גדל ואביו של צורי, יעקב, ”נדבק“ ברעיון ויחד נטעו השניים עוד 15 דונם של ענבים באזור מועצה אזורית גזר, במושב יציץ.
הכרמים נטועים באדמת גיר חרסיתית מדהימה על מדרון דרומי, גדלים כמעט כגידולי "בעל" (פלחה)- בהשקייה מזערית המתבססת כמעט על משקעים טבעיים בלבד,
כל זאת מתוך הבנה ורצון לגדל ענבים בהתאמה מושלמת לקרקע, למזג האוויר ולגשמים שיש לטבע להציע באותה השנה.
הכרם מודבר ומדושן בחומרים אורגניים בלבד ובמינימום הנדרש.
עשב גבוה גדל בין הגפנים והאדמה מקולטרת רק לאורך השורות כאשר הכרם חווה סביבו את האביב במלואו וצומח בשכנות לשאר פרחי הבר האחרים הכלניות, החרציות, טיון דביק וגם מנטה בר.
אנו בוצרים את הענבים בכמויות קטנות במיוחד, רק כ800 ק"ג לדונם, טכניקה המעניקה לענבים את היכולת להגיע למיצוי מקסימלי של צבע ומינרלים בתוך כל ענב המסייעים להפקת יין בכמויות קטנות ואיכותיות.
איזה יין תרצו?
למה "ארץ"?
השם בא וסוגר 2000 שנות גלות וכמיהה לארץ ישראל שלא נשכחה לרגע וזאת למרות שנים רבות של ישיבה בגולה.
סבי היה בעליו של בית מרזח קטן (טברנה) בשוק היהודי בעיר טריפולי בו הוגש רק משקה אלכוהולי המופק מדקלים בתוספת שיפודי כבש קטנים ליד.
עם הגיעו לארץ החל להכין יין מענביי הארץ באזור עקרון (מזכרת בתיה דהיום), אני זוכר את תהליך ההכנה ובשיאו את הדריכה ברגליים על הענבים.
אנו הנכדים ישבנו והתגלגלנו מצחוק לראות את סבא בתחתונים אפורים קופץ בתוך חבית הדריכה ברגליים חשופות ולאורך כל התהליך הוא צוחק איתנו ומסנן קללות קלות בטריפוליטאית לעברנו.
ילדותי הייתה בין כרמים שגידלנו למאכל ושלחנו למדינות אירופה עד וכאשר החקלאות קרסה בשלהי שנות ה90 ואיתה הכרמים שלנו שנאלצנו לעקור אך לא עקרו מליבי את אהבתי הגדולה לענבים, ללבלוב, נוף הירוק, ולשלכת המדהימה.
לפניי כ16 שנה עם הגיעי לכליל בגליל המערבי היה לי ברור שהדבר הראשון שאעשה הוא לטעת כרם ענבים, החלטתי התחזקה כשהבנתי שמקום מגוריי בכליל הוא מרכזו של אתר הכנת יין קדום מתקופת התלמוד.
הגתות החצובות באבן ומקוואות הישנים שנחשפו לא השאירו ספק כי האזור כולו היה אימפריית יין. בשנת 2012 בחפירות ארכיאולוכגיות שנערכו בתל כברי ליד הקיבוץ כברי דהיום שנמצא כ5 ק"מ צפונית ליקבנו, נתגלה ארמון כנעני מלפניי 3800 שנה ובו כדים אשר בתוכם נשמר נוזל עתיק. ד"ר אסף יסעור וד"ר אריק קליין דיווחו כי הצליחו לחלץ מהנוזל שאוחסן בכדים ולנתח את התכולה שבתוכו ולבסוף נמצא יין המתובל עם שרץ ועשבי תיבול הכוללים ערער מנטה והדס. זהו היקב העתיק ביותר שהתגלה אי פעם בישראל. מה שמסביר שתעשיית היין בגליל המערבי היא מהקדומות ביותר בארץ. כרמי הענבים בגליל המערבי נעקרו בתקופת הכיבוש העותמאני ובמקומם ניטעו זיתים המאפיינים כיום את הגליל כולו.
הכרמים של ענבי היין מסמלים עבורי את חזרתנו לגליל על כל המשתמע מכך.
משפחתי הקטנה הינה שותפה מלאה לתהליך ייצור היין והשם ארץ הינו גם ראשיי התיבות של שמותינו: אור אדר רותי רועי צורי.
את היין התחלנו לייצר משנת 2010 מענבים שקנינו מחקלאים באזור הגליל העליון.
בשנת 2014 ייצרו את היין הראשון שנבצר מהכרמים שלנו.
ריח תסיסת הענבים ביקב תמיד מחזיר אותי לאותו מחסן ישן של סבי במזכרת בתיה שם ראיתי וטעמתי את היין הראשון בחיי.

The "Ertez" Tavern summer is here, the air is starting to warm up and we are all fantasizing about the beach in Greece with the music, the atmosphere and the zetis :) So we here in the winery family really wanted to jump in for a weekend but you know... not easy... so we decided , as is the best tradition, to bring Greece to us! We couldn't bring it to the event (believe us we tried...) but we brought all the other atmosphere. So what's in our program? us right into the atmosphere. -Free wine, yes as it sounds, just free! -Greek-style Meztim platters for sale, the menu will be closed for the event but be prepared it will be delicious :) -Seating and decorations -Extensive shade over the event (so you can dance...) -Fun, smiles and sips of ouzo with the team here and there, entrance from age 18 and over!
